A New Direction..

Ok, I should probably apologise for not writing any posts in... a little while, ok, a long while (since the 9th of February to be exact, whoops). I was going along nicely with this little blog of mine, posting 1-2 times daily, really enjoying it, but then my daily-posting routine was disrupted, I went on a school trip for the weekend and that was the end of my daily blogging. But you know, I kinda miss it, I know I've got teeny tiny amount of followers but the thing is, I like blogging. So I've decided to start it up again, give myself something to do instead of endlessly refreshing the Blogger homepage, waiting for something (anything) to happen.

I think I'm going to go in a new direction with it though, make it more personal, when I first started this blog my main blogging ideas were to show great outfits, the best dressed from parties and pretty much anything fashion-related on Stardoll, but all of those thing have already been done. I want to do something new, unique to me, so I'll stop my ramblings and tell you what I'm going to be posting about.
I don't know about you, but one of my favourite things to do on Stardoll is dress my doll, I'm very interested in the styling side of fashion and who knows maybe it could be a possible career direction for me. The golden rule of blogging is to blog about what you're passionate about so that you don't lose interest, so on a daily basis (hopefully) I'll be showing you my outfits and what inspired me to create them, enough talking from me,
let's get on with the first post.
So, my outfit today 1920's flapper-inspired style, today this style might be considered very glamorous and sophisticated but it was the exact opposite in the 1920's, flappers were looked down on for wearing 'short' skirts, having bobbed hairstyles, wearing excessive makeup and generally going against societies ideas for what women should be - 'quiet little girls who did what there husbands told them to do and knew their place', thankfully times have (mostly) changed but that doesn't mean we can't take a little inspiration from the past.
The Voile Fringe Dress was the starting point for this outfit and I added extra pieces as I went along. I did change my medoll quite dramatically for this outfit, with a change of hairstyle and hair colour, I love the 1920's makeup which pretty much goes against the makeup rule that you should choose either your eyes or your lips to be dramatic and keep the other neutral. Beads and the signature feather in the hair finish off the look.

My 1920's medoll. ^^

So that's my first post with my new blogging style, sorry if it was a bit long, I might have got a bit carried away, you probably didn't read it all anyway ;P, well done if you did!
So I'm thinking of doing a decades theme with my next five or six outfits so watch out for 1930's style in my next post!
That's all for now,
Don't forget to follow and I would be ever so happy to see a comment or two!

New theme: Frost Fashion

The latest themed clothing to be released is 'Frost Fashion'(Such an imaginative name ;p), featuring lots of pastels and neutrals. One or two of the items have already been released in Starplaza and the rest will probably be added over the next few days. Judging from the pictures below I think I might actually like this theme, it's very soft and romantic, I'm slightly confused by the silver hair on the doll though, I know it was a bit of a trend a few months ago but, seriously?

My favourite piece would have to be the pastel green-ish dress with all those soft frills down the side, if it fits right on my doll I'll probably be buying it.
My least favourite piece would have the brown wedges, they are really reminding me of those sandals old men wear with socks, plus the colour of them is just like.. never mind.

What are your favourite and least favourite pieces?
That's all for now,

Classy-Fierce: Syligirl

I was originally planning on putting up a little poll for you guys to vote on today with maybe two or three outfits to choose from BUT then I saw Syligirl's amazing outfit and I decided it deserved a post all of it's own. I really love what she's done with the outfit, it starts off really elegant and classy with the bow hat and red lipstick but then she brings it onto a completely new level of fierce-ness with the hot pants, stockings and super-high stilettos. The red lip adds just the right pop of colour and the waistcoat brings it all together.
Take note, ladies, this is how you do classy-fierce.
Do you love this outfit as much as me? Or are you wearing a killer outfit too? Comment and let me know.

Valentine Pass 2011

Valentine's Day is just days away and to celebrate/make money Stardoll have released their latest Gift-o-meter, if you log on you'll notice a small red heart underneath your stardollars, click on this and you'll find yourself on the Valentine's Gift-o-meter page. At first, I thought the dresses below would be some of our prizes and I was actually a bit impressed but you'll quickly find that this is not the case:

As you fill up the gift-o-meter you are rewarded with items of clothing, there is no big prize at the end as there had been in previous gift-o-meters and you don't have to spend as many stardollars to fill the bar.

To be honest, I don't particularly like any of these, I had admired the beige and orange heels from spoilers and they're probably the only one of the items I actually would have bought myself.
Overall, I'd say don't waste your stardollars trying to reach all the something unless you really want it, StarBazaar will be flooded with these for the next month anyway.

That's all for now

Missing Dolls! OMG!

This post is going to be a little bit different today but I hope you'll enjoy it, I was looking through the dress up dolls today when I went and searched for a certain person and found they didn't have a doll on Stardoll which really surprised me. So I did a little more searching and found there were quite a few fashionable people who really should have a doll but, well, don't.
So, just for you guys I've made a little list of my top 3 'missing' dolls, Enjoy.

3. Kate Moss

The British supermodel and style icon has been modeling since the age of 16 and has covered more over 30 issues of Vogue. She has a bestselling clothing range with Topshop and has featured in campaigns for Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Chanel and Rimmel to name just a few. If that's not enough reasons to have a doll then I don't know what is.

2. Abbey Lee Kershaw

Well first of all Abbey Lee pretty much inspired this whole post as she was the first person I noticed wasn't on the list of dolls so thank you Abbey! As you will probably know, Abbey Lee is the 'It' girl of the modeling world right now, the 23-year-old Australian model is a former McDonalds employee (I know!) but she quit the day job when she won the Girlfriend CoverGirl Model Search in Australia and moved to Sydney to begin her career. She has modeled for all the top designers and I know she is a real favourite with a lot of the Stardoll community including myself so where's her doll, Stardoll?

                                                                     1. Rihanna 4
This R'n'B diva is currently dominating the Worldwide charts with singles such as 'Only Girl' and 'Whats My Name'. Known for her fierce fashion sense and drastic makeovers, this 22-year-old Barbados native bravely moved to America at the age of 16 to follow her dreams of becoming a singing superstar and the risk has defintiely paid off. Okay, so technically Rihanna does already have 3 dolls but, as you can see below after her latest makeover they really look nothing like her. Rihanna is such a huge star at the moment that I think we would really love to see a new RiRi doll.
Anyone else LOVE her Barbados accent?

Ok so that's all for the moment, do you agree with my choices? Anyone else you'd love to see?

Superbowl Chic: Emorox4eva

As you may or may not know today is pretty much the biggest day of the year for American Football, I'm talking about the Superbowl, you might not have heard of it if you're living outside of America but it is basically the biggest sporting event in America where the two top teams play to win the championship.
This years teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers, the Black-Eyed Peas will be performing at half time. Bringing this back to a fashion point of view, today's best dressed doll is Emorox4eva. Jenna manages to look Super bowl chic and judging by her fierce outfit she's supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers.

                                                       Which team are you supporting?
Know anyone else wearing a fabulous outfit, just tell me in the comments.

Passion Magazine Released

The latest issue of  Passion Magazine was released today. The magazine, owned by daisy-croatia and iovanca featured .pease. as its covergirl and there were some great fashion articles and a very interesting article with Tylerisbold in which he talks about his blog. The graphics, created by daisy-croatia are amazing, overall this was an excellent issue, you know you're reading a good magazine when you finish the last page and you're left wanting more. Below are some examples of graphics from the magazine:
^This one above is my favourite, it looks like something from a real photo shoot ^
What do you think of the issue?
